Andrew and I thought it would be nice to introduce you all to some of the wonderful friends we’ve gotten to know. The Phuket English and Thai congregations have absolutely outdone themselves. The wide variety of personalities and the strong emphasis on hospitality has been a huge blessing to say the least.
Meet Nikorn. This brother has a love for language learning. He currently speaks English, Thai and Mandarin and is a Thai teacher in Phuket. He is constantly giving Andrew and I tips out in service which has proved extremely helpful! Thanks again Nikon if you are reading this (:
Meet Matti. Matti and his wife (Tenya) graduated from the couples school a few years back and currently serve in the Phuket Thai congregation as special pioneers. They are originally from Finland.
Meet Cheryl White and her family. This wonderful bunch is packed with huge amounts of personality and energy as you can see from the picture. They are originally from England and have moved to Phuket permanently. The three children Eleanor, Dane and Zander can all speak Thai fairly well and all bring something special to the table. This photo is from the main shopping center after watching the movie Ant Man.
Meet Moonsoo and his wife Aounzo (They have a son not pictured named Minzo). They are currently serving in the Phuket Thai congregation and are originally from Korea. Moonsoo has a very interesting/encouraging past. He is the only one in the truth from a family that is strongly involved in the military and closely related to the royal family. He learned the truth as a teenager from the door to door ministry and shortly after went to prison. For 3 years he was beaten twice a day and eventually disowned by his family. Through all of his difficulties, he maintained his integrity and gained a worldwide family of brothers and sisters. We were all super encouraged after we left as you can imagine!
Meet James (Jason Bourne) and Katie Clarenbone. These two really helped us get on our feet when we first got here. They showed us eating spots, where to shop and how to maneuver our way to the territory. They live in England and have been in Phuket for about 7 months trying to learn the language and assist in the field ministry. James is currently having a hard time with his girly umbrella that’s filled with bears and balloons haha. Thanks guys!
